Pan Asian Economic Union

China, Mongolia, Siberia, the Koreas, and the remains Southeast Asia formed a "coalition of states" for their self-preservation, which ended with the annexation of all the territories under the government of China. The Pan-Asian Economic Union became an isolationist state, separating themselves from the world political issues and military strife. All embassies were closed and evacuated, and all diplomatic ties were severed. Some believe that the Union finally achieved the "worker's paradise" originally sought by the early communists. Others claim that the Asian continent has become an enslaved land where millions toil under the iron grip of a select, elite few. The simple fact is that no one knows. The Union has established an interdiction zone around its airspace, territorial waters, and borders. The few people that have attempted to penetrate the zone either never speak of the event, or are never heard from again.
