The Spratly Confederation The Spratly Confederation is the second most powerful nation on the planet, second only to the North American Federation. They are unique in that nearly ninety percent (90%) of their territory is underwater. The surface land area of the Confederation is comprised of only a few strategic islands, the rest of their vast territory is on the sea floor and riding the ocean waves. The Spratlys are the world leaders in undersea exploration, mining, colonization, and life support technologies. Their naval fleets are tasked with keeping the waters safe from all aggressors, and are equipped with the most advanced technology available. The Spratlys are a very determined and driven people. Their origins lay within a consortium of US and Japanese military forces, Asian and American scientists and engineers, and the colonists of the first undersea cities. During the North American Federal War the Spratlys are known to have funded and supplied the Resistance forces, and are now the most vocal supporters of the North American Federation. |
